Assemblée Générale UMF 2025

2025 Annual General Meeting of the UMF

Certainly! Here is your text translated into professional English:

On Thursday, June 12, the Union Maritime et Fluviale de Marseille-Fos (UMF) invited its members to review an intense year, marked by significant events: the crisis in the Red Sea, the conflict in Ukraine, U.S. customs policy, political instability, and more.

These challenges have mobilized our port community and strengthened our ability to move forward together: stakeholder meetings with the port authority during social movements, technical and expert workshops (Sapin II, Narcotrafficking Law, French Ports Governance and Performance Bill), major industry events (Blue Maritime Summit, Green Maritime Forum), and strong engagement for our industrial-port territory (CNDP, THT line, Gravithy, Carbon, H2V, GAzel Energie, etc.).

This year was also (and above all) an election year:
A heartfelt thank you to Jakob Sidenius for his two-year term as president, distinguished by his commitment, availability, and team spirit.
Our warmest congratulations to Martin FERAUD, unanimously elected, who is committed to enthusiastically and ambitiously leading the port community’s projects to elevate our traffic levels and seize the many opportunities in this investment-rich region.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Renaud MUSELIER, President of the Southern Region – Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (PACA) and Deputy President of Régions de France; Christophe Castaner, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Port of Marseille-Fos; Hervé Martel, Chairman of the Management Board of GPMM - Port of Marseille-Fos; Francis GRIMAUD, President of UMPF – Union Maritime et Portuaire de France; Nathalie Mercier Perrin, President of the French Maritime Cluster; and Romain Maillot, General Delegate for the development of the MeRS corridor, for their presence and support.

Thank you to Marie-Dominique Champloy for hosting us at the Marseille Capitale de la Mer premises, which provided a historic setting for this Annual General Meeting.

The adventure continues, driven by everyone’s commitment!
